The University of Pittsburgh is becoming a global leader in human performance innovation. Pitt possesses a unique combination of attributes that positions the university to develop technologies that can give athletes a competitive edge, while also pursuing applications for the general population. Pitt is a top 5 National Institutes of Health funded university; is a member of a Power 5 athletic conference; has a partnership with a major clinical health system (UPMC) that maintains a world class sports medicine program; and is in a city with multiple pro sports teams, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, who practice and train at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Join us as we see demonstrations of two projects that involve collaborations between Pitt researchers and Pitt athletic teams that are giving Pitt athletes a leg up on the competition. You will also learn about other performance innovation initiatives underway at Pitt and how you can get involved.
