Dr. Frances Arnold is the Linus Pauling Professor of Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biochemistry. She won the 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for "the directed evolution of enzymes." She is a Pittsburgh-native and a graduate of Pittsburgh Allderdice High School; and Life Sciences Pittsburgh is excited to welcome her back to her hometown and celebrate her recent honor.
