Joel McManus is an Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. His laboratory studies mechanisms and evolution of gene expression in fungi and mammals, including regulation of mRNA translation in the fungal pathogen Candida albicans during infection in a mammalian host.
