Robert Hartman is a Senior Manager for Business Development at UPMC Enterprises. He works with data scientists, life scientists, and engineers to help transform healthcare by innovating at the intersection of science, business, and healthcare. He is a scientist and engineer by training and his previous research experience is in musculoskeletal mechanics, cellular responses to mechanical loading, novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to disc degeneration, and clinical aspects of back pain, as well as developing technology and building a commercializable product for portable rehabilitation.
